A "Beach-ride" to the Turawa Lake
We were looking for a place to go on Sunday, in order to get rid of the sweltering heat (30°C in Wroclaw !) so I picked an idea I had in my mind for some time, as I tend lately to make a census of all cool places to ride with the baby trailer.That one was a bit remote (100km by the motorway) but allowed a short visit of the pretty town of Opole in the same time as a prelude.
The other end of the city is also the trailhead of a locally famous forest ride that leads to a large artificial lake, nestled in sandy grounds and pine forests, that provide an atmosphere very reminiscent of the sea-side.
Few beaches are quite popular and crowded with tourists during sunny week-ends. Nothing better than a refreshing ride !
