Eagles'
Nests Trail, south half Eagles' Nests Trail, south half  by Visentin

The "Jura", identically named like the french/swiss region, is a wide limestone plateau that extends in the triangle between the cities of Cracow, Katowice and Cz?stochowa. One of the main features of the lanscape are the countless freaky white limestone outcrops, next to some of which stand ruins of medieval castles. They are also hosting a fragile ecosystem such as eagles (from which the long distance trail takes its name). The most famous castle is Ogrodzeniec, that stands on the highest point of the region, 500m of height.

Castries loop Castries loop  by Visentin

Castries is a little village in the south of France, in the departement of Hérault and region Languedoc Roussillon. Not exactly in the hilly "Montpellier Backcountry" but just on the foothils. There are handfuls of marked trails in the "garrigue", the typical meridional bush of this region of southern France, made of spiny and odorant plants as well as rosemary, lavanda, thyme, etc. Here and there you cross some little stream or go along few of the numerous wineyards of the region.

Luboń Wielki Luboń Wielki  by Visentin

Leaving the village of Lubo? Maly and the last houses, the climb of Lubo? starts with a very discouraging climb. From the very beginning, you need to step down, and push. In some places the trail is very rocky, it's just like a hollow in the bottom of which some rocky outcrops are eroded by heavy rains which probably turn it into a stream during bad weather.

Geology Tour Geology Tour  by Cedar

The Geology Tour Road is a wide dirt track which descends from Park Blvd. south into Pleasant Valley. Along the way, it passes by a number of interesting geological features created in the "recent" history of the land. For those with time and/or a vehicle "shuttle," Berdoo Canyon Road, which branches off of Geology Tour in the south, may prove to be a much more exciting and worthwhile trip on bike however.

Holy Jim Trail Holy Jim Trail  by Woodzy

The Holy Jim Trail is without doubt one of the classic mountain bike trails in all of Southern California. Beginning in the beautiful Trabuco Canyon, the Holy Jim Trail winds it's way up to the summit of Santiago Peak (5,687ft). The whole trail is an amazing single track (most of the time), with the exception of the parts that use the Main Divide Road. It is not only a popular trail for mountain bikers, but also for hikers, runners, and horses, so be sure to share the trail with them. The trail is maintained VERY well by a group called the Warrios Society. This is another reason why the trail is so popular.
