The trail begins with a long climb. When you are almost on the top of the route the trail becomes a very small and rocky path. Here you have to carry your bike several times. Here you can practice your trialskills. Once you are on the Moosalp you can take many different roads down. When you are tired you can take the tarmac road and when you want some downhill action you can take several small trails down through the forest.

Getting There

The Augstbord region lies above the town Visp.
How to get there :
1) From airport Geneve : Take the highway to Lausanne / Montreux / Sion / Sierre. Then go to Visp. There you follow the signs Bürchen / Zeneggen. A small and winding road will take you there. You can park your car in the centre of Bürchen.
2) From Zürich : Take the highway to Luzern. Then go to Interlaken. Then to Spiez en further to Kandersteg. Here you have to put your car on a train. This train will bring you on the otherside of the mountain (every 15min.). Here you take the road to Visp and further see route above.
3) From Basel : Take the highway to Bern. Then go to Spiez. Then see the route from Zürich.

When to Bike

The best season to ride is from spring till autumn. In summertime there are many hikers and bikers. In springtime and fall you own the trails all by yourself.
