I took this picture on my first bike tour in 1994. Instead of taking the highway between Canmore and Banff, I decided to go on the Goat Creek Trail instead. The trail goes around the backside of the Goat Range and to my surprise ended in the parking lot of the Banff Springs Hotel! It's quite a shock to go from mountain trail to that!
