The photo is shot in the extreme north of Tibet. The landscape up there is mostly flat, but the altitude is also very high. The average is close to 5000m. In other parts of Tibet the topography is extremely "hilly" with lots of high peaks. I'll add more photos from both parts when I can access my photos. It's one of my favorites as well. It really shows what my riding is all about when in the outback of the Tibetan high plateau. The desolation, how barren it is and those strong colors of really high altitude (5100m). | | Posted Nov 20, 2008 6:26 am |
