Rawu Lake, China [ Sizes: Orig | Small | Thumb ]
Rawu Lake, China
Nadine cycling past an old woman who has been out gathering firewood for the coming winter. The peaks in the background are 6000m plus. The Chinese call this place "China's little Switzerand", but even if I consider Switzerland a very beautiful country I have never seen scenery like this.

Rawu is located on the Yunnan Highway connecting Tibet with the eastern parts of China. A dozen passes over 4000m and two over 5000m. One of my favorite routes in the world.
