| Starting My Ride-To-Climb Classic | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Starting at Mono Lake, California, on state highway 395, road east on the 120 past Benton to the NE/CA border and climbed Boundary Peak (NE highpoint @ 13,157'). Next I headed south past Bishop and on down to Lone Pine where I rode up the access road and climbed Mt Whitney (CA highpoint @ 14,495).
Snowshoes, crampons, ice axe, ski poles, 5 water bottles... EPIC!!!
After recuperating for a couple of days, I cruised on into Death Valley and spent a few days touring about before bonking and hitchhiking on to Las Vegas where I met my dad.

Voted 10/10 | My old stomping grounds there. Well, actually northern Nevada, but still ... spent a ton of time on 395. That sounds like a monster trip! | | Posted Nov 16, 2009 2:19 pm |
