This trail can also be added to Waterton canyon to make it a 30 mile loop. This is one of the newest and best front range trails, especially in this area. This trail was built with the idea of MTB riders in mind. It was a joint effort of MTBers and equestrians.

10-14 miles by itself, all on Indian Creek Trail #800.

Trail Description

A little bit of fireroad and mostly singletrack.

Did I mention that it is outstanding singletrack? Awesome stuff.

Getting There

From Castle Rock, Hwy 85 NorthEast to Sedalia, then west on 67 ~ 8 miles up the hill to the Indian Creek Campground. $4 Trailhead fee at the Indian Creek Camprgound lot.

To get to the singletrack, head west past the bathrooms at the west end of the parking lot and take the singletrack on your right about 50' past the bathrooms. This is the uphill. You can also continue down the fire road heading west to the equestrian TH/campground, and the singletrack begins on the west end of this campground. This singletrack descends for quite a while as it follows Bear Creek, but eventually meets up with the other singletrack.

When to Bike

Mid-April-November while the area is open. Area is relatively high and holds snow most of the winter.
