Overview

Julie Andrews Meadow is a beautiful spot, and this ride is a loop that climbs on a FS Doubletrack, and returns on a scenic and technically challenging singletrack.

Trail Description

The trail can be ridden as a simple loop trail, or combined with other rides (especially Bear Canyon).

The highpoint of the ride is arriving at Julie Andrews Meadow. This scenic meadow offers close up views of the North Summit of Timpanogos, and more distant views of the Alpine Ridge.

Getting There

Go up American Fork Canyon all the way to the Timpanooke turnoff. Park in the Timp Trail parking lot. Hop on your bike, and pedal up the pavement a short distance until it turns to dirt. Continue on the double track for a couple of miles to the second trail to the left. Stay on this trail (passing a trail on the left and right). You'll climb maybe 1/4 mile until you reach the meadow. You'll know it when you get there. Then its bombs away.

On the downhill, avoid any turns. The first left will take you back to the FS road and on to Bear Canyon. The second trail crosses the main trail. Going left here takes you into the upper campground, and the right just climbs through the basin and ends. If you avoid these turns, you'll eventually end up right back at your car.

If you like wildlife this is the trail for you! I've seen Moose and Elk up close and personal on this trail.

When to Bike

This trail is generally rideable June through November.
