One of many bridges to encounter once travelling on the forestry roads within the interiour specifically the wilderness north of the St Lawrence river valley (in Quebec Canada) . Such bridges despite accomodating heavy loads in excess of 400,000 pounds (timber trucks) are only one lane and lack guard-rails (which for a cyclist like myself is all too essential to prevent the dizziness there is being close to a precipitous fall mostly once one of the beasts arriving at high speed is in close proximity ! Mind you, most often there is no turning back ! ). Irrespective of the initial fear, such escapades on gravel roads often lead to interesting discoveries considering the many little roadside surprises from deserted beaches to hilltop vistas giving good views of the surroundings. Furthermore there often is the occasional outfitter giving a host of services and accomodations.
Once you arrive in the green desert the choice is yours to take the right road towards your salvation despite your stated purpose...
