Overview In Sedona and you feel like your in need of throwing yourself off a cliff or practicing some skills, Beaverhead flat is a great place to go kick back and throw yourself or watch others battle with gravity. No extended trails here just a rythm section, numerous drops, some haneously steep lines down the two buttes within the area and two gap jumps one so big we haven't seen anyone do it. If your in the mood for some air time this is the place to go, awsome to just hang out with the crew and watch or go crazy. Some of the Sedona Footage from Crank 5 was filmed out here.Getting ThereFrom the "Y" in Sedona head south on Hwy 179 for 10.5 miles to Beaver Head Flat Rd. make a right going up the hill for almost 1 mile. Make a right here just before the top of the hill onto a dirt road which now goes back down the hill following a wash(High Clearance or 4wd recomennded). Just keep following the road through a couple washes looking ahead for two small red rock buttes with a large flat top mesa behind them. Just in front of the buttes the road Ys, most of the stuff here is to the right. There is some crazy stuff to the left. Heading to the right you will be at the base of these two buttes traversing to the right butte and at the base you will find the most of everything.
