Peaks Galore. | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |
This photo was taken in early September 2010 on the north ridge of Mt. Majestic, high above Brighton, Utah. Ski access roads were navigated to just below this area, where the bike was toted up the ridge a bit. A little scrambling further south let to the summit of Mt. Majestic, just under 11,000 feet. The view is looking south west at a bunch of neat peaks in the Wasatch Range. A lot of the Brighton Ridge Run peaks are seen in this photo, where you can bag 5-10 peaks, depending on how far you go and which approach and descent. This highest peaks in the photo are also the highest in Salt Lake County, American Fork Twin Peaks, at an altitude of 11,489 feet. Also seen prominently is Mt. Baldy's rounded summit to the right of the Twins. Mt. Majestic really does offer a unique vantage point of the Wasatch Range here in Utah. | Image Type(s): Mountain |
