MTB Repair & Maintenance Guide - Suggestions?

Postby F.A. Heelhook » Mon Nov 26, 2007 4:01 pm

I am looking to hone my wrenching skills over the winter months in an effort to cut down on my mechanic’s bills. I am mechanically inclined, but just have been too busy in the past to take on some of the larger MTB repair and maintenance tasks I have been presented with. Therefore I am looking for a comprehensive mountain bike repair and maintenance guide (or even better, a guide that includes road bikes as well).

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the info! However, has this book been updated to include disc brakes, complicit suspension, etc?

The Zinn book is pretty up to date. It may not get into specifics regarding the newest gear or something thats specific to your bike but it will give you enough background to figure out whats going on with your stuff.
