Brett, from Boulder. I just joined the site. There's a lot of great info here. I'm looking forward to using and contributing. I've just been in CO for over a year, so I haven't ridden a ton of areas, but have enjoyed where I've been (Walker, Switzerland, Meyers Homestead, Golden Gate SP, and once at Vail).

Bill from Colorado Springs. Just been biking for a year, so am a rookie at this. Riding an entry level full suspension bike. Falcon Trail and Palmer Park are both ten minutes from home, so those are my default rides. Also like Buffalo Creek area.; thanks to Jeremy Hakes' trail descriptions and map.

Thanks, Bill! Glad the info was useful. I updated more of it from my ride down there this past weekend.

So - Jeremy from Golden, Colorado. Ride mostly in Jefferson County, Colorado. Some in Boulder and Douglas Counties, CO. Kinda spoiled having what we have in JeffCo. I ride a Specialized Enduro Elite or something. I really enjoy Moab. Fruita is ok. Glenwood Springs actually has some good rides, too. I patrol with Front Range Mountain Bike Patrol (joint effort with the US Forest Service) see FRMBP.ORG. I also volunteer and patrol for Jefferson County Open Space, and am a volunteer patroller for IMBA (National Mountain Bike Patrol). I'm also a COMBA.org member - advocacy for JeffCo (and Douglas CO and Boulder CO) trails.

I'm Brian from Aspen. I like singlespeed bikes. I like to take them to the desert. If I like you people enough, I might show you some of my secrets.

Nick here
Most of you know me from SP but I bought my first Mountain Bike last weekend and actually took my first "ride" today, Rode about 12 miles RT over to my dad's house to shot it off, met up with my wife at the bike shop to pick up her brand new bike. We took a short ride (she had a bunch of problems with hers and needs it tuned) but mine rode like a dream except my ass hurts

I plan on getting out a bunch this summer when not mountaineering or hiking

I'd be up to go ride with anyone if they are in the Littleton area

I'm a CO native that is getting back into mountain biking after two years off. I live in Morrison and am excited to get back on the horse! Also trying to get my wife interested as well! :)

Welcome aboard! As you have probably gathered, we are a much smaller group than over on MTBR. The nice thing is that you'll get to know us a lot better. The drawback is that sometimes it takes a while for anyone to see your posts!

Am I the only CO mtn biker chick responding?!*

Postby bbershad » Fri Jun 18, 2010 2:45 pm

Hi, I think I'm the only chick that has responded to this thread! My hubby & I are intermediate avid mtn bikers. Hit Fruita, Moab & Winterpark at least once a year each. Lots of riding in Jefferson County. Just rode outside of Zion & Bryce National Parks, excellent riding there!! Love going to Crusty Butt (Crested Butte) for the Trail 401 & riding Monarch Crest annually. Getting ready for the San Juan Telluride to Moab Hut to Hut adventure this fall. Usually go to MTBR for trail reviews but have never used the forum. Glad to see this new forum! -Beth
