Sunday took place the Wroclaw Bike Marathon 2012 (same I did last year). Unfortunately under a heavy rain. Not having the Tomac ready with the hanger as well plus ill wife, I could not attend it, but I found a funny story from a native englishspeaker who took part in the event :

Ran on Sunday the 8 miles I call "three-parks-loop" in 65 minutes and yesterday my 10.5K (6.5) work-home commute in 48mn.
New shoes help, but I have the feeling something is going on with my condition... if I hold this pace a whole half-marathon, perhaps Juno's prediction could come closer and closer...

I blew my Sunday 8 miler, settling for 5.5. Not sure whether I'd pushed it too fast on top of Breakfast and Coffee or the tempo ride on the Bike, the previous afternoon.

Saturday was short run, long bike, short swim 11 degrees C in the Atlantic.

Running 5 miles every day since and off soon for todays. Got over 20 miles (34 km) so far this week and - hopefully - get 35 in this week setting me up nicely for next months 4 running races, incl 1 Half marathon.

I've got the Bike split of my Sprint Triathlon pretty well nailed, the running is getting nailed but it's all coming at the expense of the swim. I'll have to dial back the rest of it next week to get more time in the pool.

Limited output due to bad weather and family needs. Though even with the few recent outings, I ploughed uphill to the moorland pretty good, despite the overactive adrenals and output of cortisol restricting circulation and oxygenation on the muscles.

Press on regardless :D

It's less and less a commute thread ! Let's rename it the "commute-training thread" :)

5.5 you mean the average, minutes per km ?

That's a lot ! I'm only at 23km, possibly 10 more on Sunday which will be an absolute record...
I've got a 10 miles race (16km) in mid-May.

Ran this morning the parks circuit (bit less than 9miles) in 70mn. Slower than my last 10k running commute but the tendance is there !

You guys are streets ahead of me, though maybe I am in age :?

Despite the awful weather today, I ran in the morning. I know I'm going to really enjoy reaching some decent distances. My objective is to play Badminton tournaments in a younger age group - and beat the ass off them

And with persistent rain here, so fed up being indoors, out again running. 2x day. Lungs beginning to feel really inflated. Actually enjoyed running in the rain.

4 days and no run. Despite 6 miles of bike, lungs felt it. Got to push it out. Working on it.

Kevin does the Triathlon. Placed 303 in 1,432, despite horrendous conditions of 5ft seas and 40mph wind gusts on the bike.

That had to be really tough  .

That's IRON, man. :D

Ran two days ago with the old shoes just to see if there was a big difference and what part of the improvement was due to my improved condition. Indeed there is a huge difference ! I couldn't keep the same pace than with the Asics but still quicker than I used to do with the old Adidas.
Running tomorrow a 10 miles (16km) race near Wroc?aw...

wow, That's great V!! You might start making money at this.

Speaking of which, the race I did Saturday had the biggest guys in the world there. I saw them all.

http://www.nyrr.org/run-with-us/uae-healthy-kidney-10k

I did it in 1:10 slowing it down for the 4 mile race the next day and a Half Marathon Saturday coming.

I still can't seem to get a photo of my new track bike. Todays excuse, was I had the battery on charge. No battery. I rode it into work though. It's great. Getting me used to staying in the drops and 23mm tyres.

My new Marathon Training Plan is crazy. It's designed to have you do your long run on tired legs. So you'll run 10k Saturday and 25k Sunday. But there's no week over 75 k.
