Police receive cycle lessons - in how to get onto a bike and "pedal".

A one-day training course is accompanied by a 17-page booklet, stating the recommended method of starting off is to (get this), "straddle" :( the bike before pedalling  .

The Grampian Police spokesman said, the training was essential for the Force's cyclists who become involved in chases

Hahahaha, ha. Don't forget to turn on the lights and sirens.

You know, I hate flat hand-held electronic devices, especially with touch-screen software. It's like this:

Evolution spent millions of years to evolve the human hand with the amazing ability to clasp objects with an opposable thumb. "Designers" of hand-held devices spent no time utilizing it  . How dumb is that :(

These are dumb-ass manufacturers - not designers. I have just a basic qualification in ergonomics and these manufactures don't seem to be employing anyone with even basic design sense using principles of human-factors engineering. And they get paid zillions

The hand is designed for clasping, but not flat objects. The thumb can only achieve full mobility when it does not play a part in holding the object.

If bike manufacturers installed flat bar ends, our hands would simply pull off the bars. We can operate our gear shifts only because of the clasp we employ on the bar, which leaves the thumb mobile for independent use. Thus, expect to see a host of tendonitis, RSI, and carpel tunnel syndrome for flat phone / device users. Probably, a new medical term for it will be phrased.

Wow. There are 62 Lego Bricks for each person on Earth. Well, as a kid I must have had at least half of them  . Just goes to show - never believe statistics.

That's a brilliant concept. You know, I always hated to see kids forced off balance by stupid stabiliser outrigger wheels. They are old hat, old crap, invented by dummies who had no sense at all of human senses. Gees, dummies with no design sense, no ability, who manage to sell crap to the public ought to be ....

Grrrrh, modern, high tech cars !!!

I'll stick with my classic car :) . Diagnosed erratic idle speed as stiction in the vacuum idle control valve. What would take 30 mins on my classic took me 30 mins to find the location of the darn thing (buried deep under a load of techno stuff), and 1.5 hours to remove it, fix, and replace. (It's a rouse to get to you to pay more at the Stealers).

And for reward, my sister is going to bake me various treats, cakes :), pies  and deserts :D for yet another job well done.

So yesterday, I did a volunteer afternoon at my Running Club. Started slow. I had small Tee Shirts. Extra small under the counter. That's the size Hot Chicks wear. Hundreds of Hot Runner Chicks.

Here's another way to meet chicks. Not sure I'd recommend it.

We need advanced warning of any more of those Tee-shirt events. I'll be straight over with the nearest watering hose and transform it into a wet Tee contest  .

Hahaha, that gal on the trail. Just as bad as the women drivers on the highway here - sit in the middle and oblivious to what's going on. That guy ought to sue her for assault with a deadly chainring
