Overview
Raspberry Ridge is the connecting trail to Blackjack and Homestead Trail.
It is an out-and-back trail on its own, or can be used as the connector to access Blackjack.
It starts out by giving you an immediate sampler of the singletrack, built rock features, and granite slickrock that is to come, both on the remainder of Raspberry Ridge and on Blackjack.
Trail Description
The trail ranges from the singletrack (both dirt and decomposed granite, typical of the area) to built rock features and granite slickrock, not dissimilar to Moab's famed trails.
Getting There
See the main page map for picking one of the many options to get to Homestead. In the end, however, you have to get to Homestead trail. My favorite way to get there is Charlie's Cutoff. From the end of Charlie's, take a left and head uphill about .2 mile.See the main Buffalo Creek page to see the directions to reach the Miller Gulch TH, which is the shortest way to access Raspberry Ridge and Blackjack.
When to Bike
See the main Buffalo Creek page concerning when to ride.
Only extra to consider with this one is that with the extra slickrock and solid granite surface riding, it can be especially slippery when it is wet, so might be best to either walk the features or not ride this and Blackjack when they are wet.
