Overview
The Red Mill Trail is a side trail off of Perseverance routing up the south side of Gold Creek about a mile beyond Ebner Falls. The Glory Hole Overlook trail veers off of the Red Mill and ends up at an expansive void in the mountain with awesome panoramas and a gut turning drop off!!Trail Description
Red Mill Trail: A fresh alternative to the "Perseverance Road," this singletrack is a stiff go and is worth the time and effort. There are several fun sections that challenge the rider, whether it be a short inclination, a horseshoe bend in the trail with a stream crossing and a small rise, or a section of boulders to roll over. The downhill descent is narrow and the bike mostly bounces around to its own accord when the rider forgets that speed does matter. Typical of other trails its size, the Red Mill offers up plentiful opportunities for nasty spills, over the handlebar excursions, and teeth chipping chin-music jams. Red Mill is rocky, bumpy, slippery most of the time, and sits up against a steep hill side. Simply quit paying attention and you're there!Glory Hole Overlook: A direct 8-14 degree ascent, this 1.25 km trail straight shots up the side of a slope to an awesome hole in the side of a mountain. Every 100 meters there is a challenging obstacle like an oversized tree root system or a set of rocks to overcome. Each of these sections challenge the rider to maintain footing on the pedals, but it is really difficult. I average four or five chokes where I have to unclip.
