The plane and the second long haul

The plane and the second long haul
Hot and thirsty in Summer. Bitter headswinds blow during the Autumn and Spring. Road closed in winter. Sometimes 10 metres of snow. (Yup, 10).

Soon, you start climbing again. Another 400m / 1,300ft to go.

I can only describe it as "Paradise". I was so fortunate to get so many assignments there. I've an Album about the area. It was my home from home.

I'm going to do the ride again in the near future. All of us should go together to get this experience. Late Spring and Autumn is best. And at the top we can take over the restaurant and pig out on mountains of pasta and red wine and sleep at the Rifugio or hotel.
The we get the ride dowwwnnn....

Have fun folks !

I wish you all good luck !

For my part, I'm logging out for the immediate future . What can I say; my old notebook broke down. Furthermore, I have to attend more pressing matters namely getting back on the fast track so I won't expire from old age too early !

In that regard, I'm certain that Ray can do more cycling in a day than I can in a week !

Keep up the good work folks !

Coincidentally, Switzerland being what it is, are the alpine roads full of snow for a large part of the year, or is it mostly clear sailing year round a little north of the Mediterranian apart from where the ski slopes are to be found LOL ! ?
