Voted 10/10 | Learn early and become smart and skilled. Early brain programming works.
It's how I was brought up. Not so sure if I'm so smart though. | | Posted Apr 30, 2010 5:19 am |

Voted 10/10 | Youth is definitely a time to learn. Although like is the case with anyone without the proper guidance, if I would have had my dad I would have gained some much need wisdom without having to break my head so often in the process being an isolated person in a state of vulnerability who consequentially was often confronted to abusive people who capitalized on my isolation and accompanying insecurity...
Regarding the benefits of learning at an early age; I had read an article in an issue of Scientific American which had me realize that those which don't exercise and consequentially develop their cognitive skills at an early age don't develop the essential neural connections that are essential later in life... | | Posted May 5, 2010 1:18 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Yes, exactly - lack of neural interconnections arises from both the under use of motor functions and memory-related, intellectual and cognitive functions. (Hope I spelled all that correctly - my memory ain't what it used to be)!! | | Posted May 5, 2010 4:38 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks for your nice comments. Yes, we try to bring up Nicolas the smartest possible way - well according to our standards :) So far he is extremely interested in every kind of bicycle and put his hands on every possible greasy thing. But my main concern now is that his level of Polish doesn't catch mine too fast :) | | Posted May 6, 2010 8:05 am |

Voted 10/10 | Soon you can begin teaching him English. Early language learning develops the intellect amazingly fast. Hope he has a lego set. Make sure to teach throwing and catching skills.
I learnt throwing early. I sure broke a lot of windows !! But now I can get the DYNAMITE sticks right next to the Bank Vault, from outside the Bank. Hahaha. | | Posted May 6, 2010 2:14 pm |
