Overview

Mill Canyon may be the hardest of the Alpine Loop trails, though it's much better since the Forest Service rerouted the lower half a few years back.

You'll still find plenty of semi-steep, rocks and some roots. Up would give anyone a work out and down will get most riders' hearts beating (and brakes steaming).

Start on the ridge trail or drive up the gravel road (180) that turns north off the Cascade Springs road, and drop down to just above Tibble Fork Reservoir (where you can cross the river or turn left and make your way to the cross over the dam).
