Overview

Near the bottom of the canyon. The trail climbs to the left then goes right next to the falls.
Battle Creek rewards its visitors with a beautiful, clear creek and several picturesque waterfalls - one at least 60' high.

Trail Description

The trail is largely covered with small rocks, has some challenging climbs, and some exposure that may get your heart beating just by looking at it. There are some river crossings that can be difficult and even dangerous in early spring runoff (worse in the afternoon than morning).

After climbing about 2,000', you'll be rewarded with the more gentle sagebrush flats (but even then you'll have some climbing). The Great Western Trail is flatter and leads north or south other trails.

Getting There

Go east on Pleasant Grove 200 South, up past the high school and to a dirt parking lot. Continue up the canyon from there.
