Francis Crane Wildlife Management Area--PAGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION--
The Francis Crane Wildlife Management Area is a great location for trail riding, probably one of the best on Cape Cod. The area features many varied sections of terrain and borders on Rt. 151 and Otis Air National Guard Base. It contains some of the most abrupt terrain changes on the Cape. The WMA is a great place to ride year round. More information will be added as more is gathered.Getting ThereOn Rt. 151, the entrance to the Francis Crane Wildlife Management Area is directly opposite Sam Turner Rd. There is also a parking lot on Cloverfield Lane, through the yellow gate. If at this lot, travel (by bike) through the field and over the railroad tracks to enter the trails. There is also an entrance immediately after the Route 151 Exit on Route 28.For a Google Earth KMZ file of this entrance to the Francis Crane WMA, click this link: Francis Crane WMA. Trail Maps The Francis Crane WMA trail map. Red TapeThe only thing that riders need to be wary of is the Otis Air National Guard Base. Be careful not to stray onto the base while riding, as it is closed to all civilians. If you enter the base you will be turned around or escorted off the property.Things I'll Add*Pictures
