OverviewCoyote Song Trail is the busiest trail in South Valley park but also provides the easiest, and most varied terrain. While the trail does not have many blind curves, there are some, and it is important to announce, as there is nearly always someone around on a sunny day.
Trail DescriptionStarting from the Southern Parking lot, follow the trail head for .4 mile to the trail junction, stay right here. The trail has some good ups and downs, and is double track, so you can really get moving so long as there are no hikers. You can head back the way you came, or come back down the paved Valley View trail. When traveling from North to South, there are some erosion humps that provide for some nice little jumps if the trail is clear and there are no hikers.
Getting ThereAdd Getting There text here.Take C-470 to the Wadsworth exit. Head south on Wadsworth for a very short distance and turn West onto Deer Creek Canyon Road. Follow Dear Creek Canyon Road (turn left at the fork after about 1.5 miles) for about 3-4 miles. You will see the lower parking lot on the right hand side of the road, there is a large sign that is very difficult to miss.
