Overview

Tramway is another connecting trail from the CT down to FR 543. I typically ride down it to the 543, where I go east or west to pick up other trails. It follows Tramway Creek for a bit, and is a fast downhill. It is fairly well treed and shaded, with a creek crossing or two.

Trail Description

Fast descending singletrack, mostly dirt with a little PPG thrown in. Good, fun stuff. Riding up Tramway can be a little unpleasant, but you gotta gain the elevation somewhere, right?

Getting There

Take the CT from the Long Scraggy TH in about 4.5 miles, turn right (downhill). You can also ride in about 1.5 miles on FR 543 from the Buffalo CG to the lower section of the trail.

When to Bike

The usual for the area (see Area heading).
