Overview

Marjan hill is situated on the western part of Split city peninsula. Covered by dense pine forest, it is actually a huge park where many locals seek relax by waking, running, cycling, free climbing etc... Its highest point, Telegrin, rises 178m above deep blue sea.
To see almost whole hill, you can take an easy, zig-zag route described here.

Trail Description

Route is starting at the parking place on the northern gate to Marjan forest. Sure, you can start everywhere else in the city you want. From here follow paved road to Bene bay sport center, continue straight to first left crossing (a ramp there to prevent cars going up) and take that fire road. Continue by turning right when you come to paved road and soon turn right again to the top.
After you enjoy a view there follow nice and long asphalt descent on Marjan southern slopes, offering beautiful sights to islands and the sea. When you came to another ramp (southern entrance to Marjan forest) take sharp left descending again and continue all the way from where you came.
Sure, route can be done in the opposite direction, but this way is more interesting. Below is route diagram.

When to Bike

All seasons are well suitable for this trail, as mostly going through forest.
