Soft as Butter!
XTR 22T inner ring after 10 months. Nearly wrecked my ride last weekend with continual chainsuck. You can see why. Managed to replace with a cheap as chips Deore steel one and some washers to get the spacing right. Seems to work. Will test at the w/end.

I have to say that the evidence keeps piling up that XTR is only for pros who can afford to replace everything every other month.

I agree BD. I won't be getting an XTR chainset again. To replace like for like 22T chainring would cost me £34 - about $48. Waste of money. I reckon I can get 2 years out of a steel Deore ring for £7!!!

if your chainring is in alu you can correct the shape of a damaged teeth with a drill :)
