Hasn't voted | Thanks Andy... I wish I was as good in photographying cracks than in reparing them ! :)
The current situation looks like we are going to try negociating a commercial gift with the brand (small), despite the fact the warranty is over. If it fails, we'll see how the Polish welders do with aluminium ! I found a shop where the guy also thought about a combine with welding outside and iron shaft inside (but in last resort only..)
Meantime I'll ride the Sudetes with the old red city-horse, hoping his iron frame will not get the same fate ! :D | | Posted Sep 15, 2009 3:10 am |

Voted 10/10 | I hope something can be done. If the bike company has any credibility they should at least give you a substantial discount on a new frame. A similar situation occurred with Gritty but Kona weren't interested. Notice the crack is in the same welded area :(

Putting steel and aluminium together does strange things. Electrochemical series and all that!!!! It often corrodes and I suspect will make things even worse. Sorry to be so pessimistic Eric. | | Posted Sep 15, 2009 11:57 am |
