snowfield still looks skiable!
Nice pic.
Have you guys ever ridden from Timberline (alpine glade tr.) down through 'crosstown tr.' and then on down the "pioneer bridal tr.' finishing at Toll Gate -- pretty fun downhill!
Enjoyed your page!

Thanks for the kind words. No, I have not ridden that combination although what I have ridden on Alpine was pretty steep and loose large stuff. I am getting back into MTB riding and discovering trails around PDX. I like the idea of this combo and was pondering it over the last couple of days. Is it feasible for a somewhat novice rider?

The Alpine trail (as u know) is pretty scrappy and loose. I would recommend the crosstown tr down to Toll Gate as a car shuttle of some sort.(or ride the hwy back up) The tr. has a few tricks, downhill switchbacks, & a crossing of hwy 26, but worth it.
Have fun!

Thanks again. I will give it a try soon, car shuttle style.
