Mount Saint Helens: Ape Canyon/ Plains of Abraham

Life slowly returns, 30 years later to this devastated area. These trees are known as the standing dead, trees on the outer reaches of the blast force that was only enough to scorch and knock limbs off. Trees closer than this were simply snapped off at the ground and knocked over.
