Red Knoll, August 31, 2010.

This photo was taken during the evening next to my campsite at the Red Knoll, in the San Rafael Swell, Utah. That morning I had ridden a nice rough route up to the summit of Mt. Elliot on the bike. Elliot is located in the Book Cliffs area on the Swell's far east side. The ride included a river crossing, and more tech 5 terrain than I would have liked. Lot's of hike a bike on that run, also involving about 3,000 vertical feet of gain. August 31, 2010.
