Traverse Road, to View Benchmark.

Traverse Road, to View Benchmark.
This shows the upper Traverse Road, which gives access to the community of Suncrest above, and to the regular route higher up to View Benchmark. View's summit is out of sight behind the upper ridge. Traverse Road is an option to ascend to the upper portion on asphalt, when weather as seen in the picture makes Corner Canyon Road and the Haddington Cutoff section an utter mess. Photo taken from atop Potato Hill, October 8, 2011.

I'm lookin' at the wide roads. Could just imagine takin my Bimmer for a fast one up there. Around here, the roads are pretty narrow, winding and with steep hills, though that makes for tight concentration. Suits my E30.

That one is a fun one, it was recently built up about 8 years ago and the corners are banked just right! I won't lie and say I never exceeded the speed limit up there in my VW and the Mustang.

Good thing about this road from a bike perspective is a nice wide shoulder. Often when I'm up there the roadies are climbing this one. It is a steeper angled road though, but not too unbearable.
